OVERVIEW

As the President & CEO of Provo Wealth Management Group, Christopher P. Provo, RFC, CRPC has led an impressive career in wealth management for nearly thirty years. He manages the investments of individuals, corporations, non-profit organizations, business owners and their employees, with an impressive depth of knowledge of the financial world. Chris is a true innovator with a passion for leading a dedicated team of advisors. It is not surprising that, for decades, the Provo team has been called upon to provide their expertise as subject matter experts on radio, online, in newspapers and on television. Chris has had the distinction of writing the full page, annual Economic Forecast for the Worcester Business Journal for several years. Our team has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, MSN.com, Fiduciary News, Investment News, Investors.com, Community Advocate, Fifty Plus Advocate and lnvestopedia.com.

Clients often come to us for the first time when they have a nagging feeling that they may not be on the right path, or could possibly be doing better. People are waking up to the realization that, because they are not financial experts themselves, it would be unlikely that they could truly evaluate their advisor’s work. We do many second opinion analyses to help provide confidence, clarity and update strategies as needed.

Provo Wealth Management prides itself on inclusion, diversity and going beyond the norm. Our focus is on protecting clients by lowering management fees below industry standard, and making sure we know their family as a whole.  Provo Wealth Management Group created a Multi-Family Office to integrate multiple services, so the left hand knows what the right hand is doing.  While firms typically only make this service available to the ultra-wealthy, we feel it should be within reach to all, especially for life’s more complicated transitions.

HONORS AND SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY

Chris recently retired his board seat of twelve years at Becker College after bringing the college international attention by championing the first 100 % sustainable college endowment in the nation. Chris has been awarded the National Arthritis Award for Community Service, and the key to the City of Worcester. The team was awarded Worcester Business Journal’s 2017 Small Family Business Award and the 2019 Massachusetts Small Family Business of the Year Award by Northeastern University Center for Family Business.

BEFORE PROVO

Chris headed straight to Wall Street just days after graduating from the University of New Hampshire, founding his investment firm at the age of 25 without any clients or bank loans.

BESIDES WORK

Chris is known to be competitive, and enjoys channeling that energy into golf, among the comradery and fellowship at the Worcester Country Club. Chris works together in the business with his son Theodore, now studying for the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, who will join the firm full time after graduating from Babson College in 2021.  Chris enjoys traveling with his wife Pam, and is a huge Patriots fan.
